How it works
Almost every major platform uses the same default scoring, apart from one setting: how much a catch is worth. Standard leagues give nothing for a reception, half PPR gives half a point, and full PPR a whole point. That single difference reshapes rankings. A running back who catches eight short passes gains 8 points in PPR that he would not get in standard, which is why pass-catching backs and slot receivers climb PPR draft boards.

Worked example
A receiver catches 7 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown, and adds 12 rushing yards.
- 1Rushing: 12 ÷ 10 = 1.2
- 2Receiving yards and TD: 96 ÷ 10 + 6 = 15.6
- 3Receptions: 7 × 1 (PPR), 3.5 (half) or 0 (standard)

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between PPR and standard scoring?
Only receptions. PPR awards a point for every catch, half PPR half a point, and standard none. Everything else, including yardage, touchdowns and turnovers, is scored the same by default on ESPN, Yahoo and Sleeper. PPR rewards volume and target share, and standard rewards touchdowns and big plays.
Are passing touchdowns worth 4 or 6 points?
The default on the major platforms is 4, which keeps quarterbacks from dominating scoring. Many home leagues switch to 6, which roughly doubles the gap between elite passers and the rest. If your league uses 6, add 2 points for every passing touchdown to the result here.
Do fumbles and interceptions cost points?
By default both cost 2 points, but only a lost fumble counts, meaning one recovered by the defence. A fumble your own team recovers costs nothing. Some leagues reduce interceptions to −1 or raise them to −3, so check your league settings.
Why do my platform's points differ slightly?
Leagues can add bonuses for 100-yard or 300-yard games, give points per first down, or score fractional yards differently. Some platforms round each stat, and others score to two decimal places. Stat corrections after the game can also change totals a few days later.
